My Own Color Challenge

This past weekend I visited a scrapbook store and I saw a line of products by American Craft that used the colors soft sky, black, and sand. I loved the color combo! So I went back to the retreat and tried to make a card using those colors. Here is the finished project! It seems like I'm running out of time to use "Garden Whimsey". It feels like a spring/summer stamp to me. Thank you for looking at my blog. I hope you all have a great day!

Here is the recipe:
Stamps: Garden Whimsey
Paper: Soft Sky, Basic Black, Whisper White, Sand
Ink: Soft Sky, Basic Black, Soft Sky
Accessories: Black Gingham Ribbon

I'm Back...Featured Sunday Stamper

Here is my entry for the Featured Stamper Challenge on www.splitcoaststampers.com. Check out StamperTammy's gallery here. On the website I forgot to list the changes I had made...oops! This is the first time I've done this challenge. Click here to see Tammy's card that I cased.
I'm getting ready this week for my weekend scrapbook/stamping retreat that I host two times a year. I really look forward to this weekend. A group of 6 ladies has grown to about 50 in the last 8 years. One of the best things about this hobby is making new friends. I have met so many women whose paths I may not have crossed with if it weren't for paper crafting. Here is the recipe to this card:
Stamps: Garden Whimsey
Ink: Wild Wasabi
Paper: Cutie Pie DP, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon
Thanks for looking!!!

My First SCS Sketch Challenge

I have been wanting to participate in the challenges on splitcoaststampers forever...and today was the day! This is sketch challenge SC140. What a fun card this was to make! I think I could throw away all my 48 colors of SU ink and just live on the 6 new incolor inks the rest of the year! This card uses the designer paper named Cutie Pie. I also used Wild Wasabi paper and Purely Pomegranate paper. I used my Marvin Uchida Square Scallop (Giga size) punch. I used Purely Pomegranate ink and double stitched ribbon. If I had to do this card over again I would have tied knots in the ribbon on the right side. Oh well...I'm happy with the way it turned out. Thanks for looking at my blog!

Here I blog again....

I'm joining the blog wagon again. I spend a lot of time case'ing (copying and stealing everything) from other stamper blogs...so I thought I would generate some of my own creations to share! As with my personal blog, this will take me a while to get going...but I will work on it! Enjoy!!!

The first card I'm posting is one that I made using my FAVORITE new set - Garden Whimsey. I used groovy guava paper and ink, purely pomegranate paper and ink and whisper white card stock. I used the technique "rock and roll". The tulips are covered with dazzling diamonds. Everything looks a little better with diamonds!
